Kim Kardashian shared a photo on Instagram on Sunday, January 21, of a tiny gray T-shirt emblazoned with the name of her newborn daughter, elegantly written in cursive. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 37, simply captioned the post with a baby emoji.

Chicago was born via surrogate on Monday, January 15. A source told Us Weekly that Kardashian was the first person to have skin-to-skin contact with her baby girl, followed by husband Kanye West. The couple are also the parents of daughter North, 4, and son Saint, 2.

“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl,” the reality star wrote in a post on her website and app on Tuesday, January 16. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

Kardashian revealed Chicago’s unique name on Friday, January 19, telling fans that the newborn’s nickname will be Chi, pronounced “shy.” A source told Us that she and the “Famous” rapper, 40, chose the moniker in honor of the city where he was raised.
Twitter users were quick to comment on Chicago’s name after the big reveal. “Chicago West isn’t a community college?” one fan quipped. Another wrote, “There are two kinds of people in the world — those who agree Chicago West is a chic name and those who are wrong.”
